Ricky Dambrose is a writer and director based in New York City. His first feature, Notes on an Appearance, premiered at the 68th Berlin International Film Festival in 2018. His short films have been included in the official selections at the New York Film Festival, the Vienna International Film Festival, and the Jeonju International Film Festival, among others. In 2017, D'Ambrose was named one of Filmmaker Magazines 25 New Faces of Independent Film, as well as one of the decades Best New Filmmakers by Richard Brody of the New Yorker magazine.
