Sinopsis / Synopsis:
A failed school short film is resignified 12 years later to convey the multiple layers and intentions that exist in the creation of a film. This distancing-recomposition of the images reconstructs the stages of filming from scouting to production, while a member of the crew recalls a tragic experience that hit the student pretensions.
Biografía / Biography:
David Castan Medina is a graduate of ENAC-UNAM, as well as FAD-UNAM. His debut documentary No son Horas de Olvidar was premiered in 2020 at the 18th edition of the Morelia International Film Festival; at the Via del Mar International Film Festival with the FEISAL award; at the Black Canvas Contemporary Film Festival with the award for Best Film; and with the Zanate Grand Prize award at the Zanate Mexican Documentary Film Festival. For the documentary Das Distintos, he won the award for Best Mexican Documentary Short Film at the 6th edition of the DOCSMX festival and received an honorable mention in the category of Best Student Documentary at the 15th edition of the Jos Rovirosa Award.
